Understanding the factors that influence engagement

Team engagement is like a fire. It can ignite a team and propel them to greatness, or it can fizzle out and leave everyone feeling cold and indifferent. Understanding what factors influence engagement can mean the difference between a winning team and a losing one.

First, let’s talk about the leader. The leader of the team is like the fuel for the fire. They set the tone for the team’s engagement, whether they realize it or not. A strong leader will inspire their team and provide them with direction and purpose. They’ll listen to their team members’ opinions and give them the resources they need to succeed. But a weak leader, one who doesn’t communicate effectively or doesn’t provide clear direction, can extinguish the fire of engagement.
